An Associate Degree in accounting administration is designed to prepare students for careers as both accounting professionals as well as for supervisory and management positions within accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, purchasing or billing or inventory control. Students will work with the latest in computer programs for accounting, billing and inventory throughout the course of study.
The emphasis in the program is developing an understanding of the theory and practices in accounting and accounting administration. The focus of the program is to allow students to learn the basics in accounting principles, business management and administration as well as legal and ethical considerations for managers and accountants. Courses will include transaction analysis, payroll, bookkeeping, taxation, statement reconciliation and financial and accounting records preparation and analysis.
