Acquisitions and contract management programs are designed to give students the practical and theoretical knowledge and foundation to effectively work in business, government organizations and corporations. The courses will focus on legal and financial aspects of contract management and acquisitions in all types of business and commercial settings. Courses will address issues from a case study perspective as well as lecture style.
Since the types of contracts and acquisitions will vary between for-profit and non-profit companies and agencies these issues are addressed in depth. Coursework will include financial management as well as long and sort term strategic planning as it applies to contract management and acquisitions. Emphasis will also be placed on aspects of business management including property and operational issues and legal aspects of various types of acquisitions and contracts. Students will be encouraged to work in teams and cohort groups just as they would in actual work experiences in business.
