A degree in public relations will enable students to learn the skills necessary to promote companies, government agencies, healthcare organizations, and other agencies that are in the public arena. Learning how to create press releases, explain company policy, and let the public know about government decisions are the primary job functions of those who work for public relations firms. Being able to recognize conflict and find ways to resolve it, organizing meetings, and conducting research are just some of the job duties that those in public relations will have deal with on a regular basis. People who are out going and who are able to complete tasks quickly will excel in this career.
