Students who enroll in this degree program will be able to choose which grades levels they want to focus on – Grades 5-9 or Grades 5-12. This option allows students to teach mathematics to different age and education levels. While some students have excellent math skills, others are lacking and will need extra guidance along the way. This degree program will give teachers the skills to facilitate a variety of students and their abilities
Teaching methodologies, relaying information, and evaluating the performance of individual students in the classroom are all areas that will be explored as students learn how to become better at teaching mathematics and the principles behind it. Learning how teach a classroom filled with students who are on different learning levels can be challenging, but using methods taught in this program will make it easier. Once students graduate, they will be able to begin teaching in a classroom.
