Graduates of the MA in Teaching and Learning - Elementary Reading will have the skills and theory needed to set up effective reading and language skills programs in elementary classrooms. Students will use a variety of methods to learn best teaching practices in teaching reading including working with special needs, English as a second language (ESL) and gifted student populations. Emphasis will be placed on effective evaluation of teaching methods as well as student learning in reading.
