Individuals employed as workers in the nuclear industry can gain additional skills and knowledge by completing the Nuclear Engineering Technology option in the AS in Applied Science and Technology program. The sixty-hour program includes 21 credit hours of general education, 21 credit hours in the option field, and 18 free elective credits. Courses may include nuclear physics, radiation safety, thermodynamics or heat transfer, fluid mechanics, reactors, and a Nuclear Engineering Technology elective.
