The Bachelor of Science in health management is designed for those students that already have an Associates degree in health management or a related field. Graduates can find entry level management positions in a variety of hospitals, nursing homes, short and long-term care facilities, clinics and physician's offices. The program will help students develop effective communication and interpersonal skills, learn the basics of management and effective decision making, as well as understand the basics of administration and management within the health care field.
Students in the program will complete courses in human resources and development, communications, ethical and legal issues in health care management, administration, policy and procedure development, financial planning and budget management as well as operational management and building and developing teams and working relationships with the work environment.
