Basic details about this degree program:
This foundation program of study will allow students to gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to enter the field of criminal justice. Students in the AS in Criminal Justice program will complete courses in subjects such as criminal investigation procedures, corrections facilities, juvenile justice systems and parole and probation. Students will also develop an understanding of criminal laws and the criminal court process. All students will increase their leadership skills, understand the importance of safety and procedures in corrections facilities and learn about current trends and challenges in the criminal justice system.
