The Associate of Science in criminal justice program is developed to allow students to take a variety of different classes from all aspects of the criminal justice program. Most students in this program and planning to pursue a career in the court system, in law enforcement, security, or corrections but are still not quiet certain what area holds the most interest for them. The classes have a good mixture of both theory, science and practical applications used in all aspects of law enforcement and criminal justice.
Courses will include topics such as evidence and methodology for collecting evidence, legal and ethical issues in criminal justice, correctional administration, judicial process and applications as well as courses specific to parole, probation and law enforcement topics. Most instructors in the program are current or former criminal justice professionals so the information is applicable to actual scenarios and practices.
