Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in criminal justice program with a specialization in judicial administration will find employment as non-attorney workers within the courthouse such as bailiffs, court clerks, district clerks, victim advocates or court reporters. The focus in the program is on the law and legal issues surrounding the judicial system, rather than the investigative issues that other aspects of the criminal justice programs focus on. Students will have a strong understanding of constitutional law and criminal law as well as procedures and processes for all parties involved in criminal or civil legal cases.
Courses in the Bachelor of Science in criminal justice with a focus on judicial administration include effective communication, court procedures and process, victim support and advocacy, research, administration and management as well as technology in court systems with regards to information, court sessions and security.
