Students who enroll in this degree program will be able to choose from three concentrations: homeland security administration, crime analysis, and justice administration. These programs will train students in protecting the public, analyzing crime scenes, and making sure that all paperwork has been filed and stored in case it is needed later during a trial or hearing.
Each of these concentrations has its own coursework that will have to be completed. Homeland security administration offers courses in handling terrorism and natural disasters. Crime analysis requires that students complete courses in criminal processing and uses of technology and how they apply to criminal investigations. Justice administration includes courses that prepare students for writing policies or reviewing existing policies and other administrative duties. Each of these concentrations will prepare students for careers that exist in many departments within the legal and criminal justice systems.
