By completing a juris doctor program, students will be able to develop their critical thinking skills which will help them understand the legal process and the laws behind it. Students will receive training in regulatory and statuary law, learn how to conduct legal research, and how to prepare cases in order to represent their clients in the best way possible.
When studying law, students will also have to learn more about the ethics and morals that are behind many current laws. Students will learn how to represent themselves and their clients in an ethical way. Analyzing and discussing law are also courses that students will have to take.
After completing this program, students will be prepared to take the bar exam in the state where they want to practice law. Students will then be able to practice law or serve as legal consultants for public organizations, government agencies, and private companies.
