Licensed FAA Airframe and powerplant mechanics who wish to continue their education may complete the Aviation Maintenance Technology option in the AS in Applied Science and Technology program. The sixty-hour program includes 21 credit hours of general education, 21 credit hours in the option field, and 18 free elective credits. The program includes both theoretical courses such as Aerodynamics, Electrical Circuits, and Fluid Mechanics, and Aviation Maintenance Technology Electives such as Gas Turbines Powerplants, Airframe Systems, Instrumentation and Avionics, and Communication Electronics.
