A graduate student from the Bachelor of Science in computer network management will be able to find employment as a network technician, designer, administrator or troubleshooter. Students will gain both practical experience and skills as well as the knowledge needed to design, implement and manage a variety of different models and styles of computer networks for a variety of different types of businesses and organizations. An emphasis throughout the program will be on logical thinking and network development, as well as effective communication and teamwork and leadership skills in working with others.
Classes within the Bachelor of Science in network management will include courses on network security, database administration, networking, wireless networking, hardware and software used in networking as well as design and implementation issues and development. Focus in the courses will be on local area networks or LANs, but will also include issues with wide area networks or WANs and the interaction between the two.
