The secure and safe exchange of information between a group of authorized users is the goal of professionals in the information systems management field. A twenty-four month Bachelor of Science in information systems will prepare graduates to enter the workforce as information systems managers and administrators, database developers and administrators as well as web administrators or consultants. Students will have a high level of proficiency with both designing and developing information systems as well as analyzing, evaluating, modifying and troubleshooting existing information systems in businesses, government agencies and corporations.
Emphasis throughout the program of study will be on security of information and security of access to information by authorized users. Students will also complete programs on database administration and development, networking and networking security, computers and information processing as well as critical thinking, effective communication and business principles and ethics.
