A Bachelor of Science in business administration with a major in information technology will prepare students for the dynamic and rapidly evolving world of information storage, exchange and retrieval as well as the software and hardware required to keep networks and systems operating securely and efficiency. Emphasis will be placed on working as part of an IT team as well as development of leadership skills, interpersonal communication and critical thinking and problem solving skills with regards to information technology systems and equipment.
Students will take a wide variety of courses from computer operating systems, networking, local area and wide area networks and their interaction, databases, database management and administration as well as basic business management courses. The emphasis in the management, marketing, financial and international business courses will be on the influence and uses of IT within these disciplines.
