The Bachelor of Science in business with a concentration in information technology is designed to allow students to gain experience and knowledge in working with all aspects of information technology within a variety of workplaces and environments. Students will learn aspects of troubleshooting and problem solving difficulties with telecommunication systems, computer systems, wireless communication and other IT devices used in businesses, production facilities and government agencies. Students will also learn effective business management and leadership skills that will allow them to find employment as information technology managers and consultants.
Courses in the two-year BS in Business with a focus on information technology will include networking and wireless networking, telecommunications, business management, leadership and effective communication, security and management on online information exchange, database management and security, legal and ethical issues in IT departments as well as effective communication and interpersonal skill development.
