Students that enter a course of study in an Associates of Arts in internetworking program will learn how to manage all aspects of networking technology including local area networks and wide area networks and how the two systems operate together. Student will have experience in managing, designing and working through the logistics of setting up wide and local area networks using the most advanced hardware and software programs.
In addition to focusing on the networking aspect students will also learn how to troubleshoot networking problems in large and small businesses and agencies, as well as the use and set up of routers, switches and bridges for multi-station internet access. Students can work towards specialized networking certificates through the program or may continue on to more advanced internetworking technology degrees.
