Graduates of the Bachelor of IT in internet systems development will be highly qualified for positions in either small or large business, companies or organizations as web administrators, web designers, systems managers or administrators as well as inter and intranet developers and designers. Both practical and theoretical skills and knowledge will be developed throughout the program with emphasis on critical thinking, logical planning and development of secure, efficient and effective internet systems.
Students will take courses and have experience using current technology with regards to web design and administration, networking and wireless networking, hardware devices, operating systems, databases and database management, e-commerce and security issues with regards to internet systems and local area networks. Students will also take classes in data compression, effective information exchange and retrieval, as well as basic programming.
