An Associate of Occupational Studies in secure networking and wireless technology will be able to network both hard wired and wirelessly computers within a business or organization. Not only will the students be able to actually maintain and establish the network, they will also be able to design, evaluate and troubleshoot any possible issues that may arise throughout the network.
Courses will include information on wireless and wired network security issues, local area and wide area networks and the interface between the two systems, wireless technology, routers, bridges and switches as well as networking computers. Students will have the opportunity to work with various equipment and programs available to assist with networking and wireless technology, as well as troubleshoot and problem solve real world issues relating to this technology.
