Technology management plays an important role in the survival of any company. Computer technology has made it possible for companies to advertise to more people by using the internet, has improved the way those in a company can communicate with each other, and has made conducting international business easier. Monitoring computer systems and networks is the job of those who work in technology management. Managing entire network systems is a huge undertaking that requires people to work together as a team in order to complete projects. Monitoring web sites for broken links, pages that cannot be opened, and security issues can be time consuming. Those working in technology management for web hosting companies will have to complete tasks quickly in order to begin new projects while monitoring old ones. This is ongoing work that requires people who are able to problem solve quickly in order to retain clients.
