The Bachelor of Science in technical management will prepare graduates to work with all different aspects of technology found within most business and working environments. This will include telephone systems, intercom and paging systems, fax machines, copiers, computers and other technology items that are used in business. Students may also complete specialized training in more advance technical support in one specific area such as computers or photocopiers.
Classes in the technical management program will be very hands-on with theoretical background information provided in classes. Emphasis will be placed on effective problem solving strategies as well as effective troubleshooting, communication and analysis of issues. Students will also have basic business management courses that will provide a good background in inventory management and control, effective leadership, business management and planning and financial aspects of management of a technical support department or company.
