Formerly Deaconess College of Nursing, Chamberlain College of Nursing has broken free of its former image and has begun a successful life as an accredited and progressive nursing school. This college has two brick and mortar campuses, one in Columbus, Ohio, and the other in St. Louis, Missouri. But the college also offers degrees online. Both of the online degrees from Chamberlain fall under the undergraduate umbrella.
Currently, there are two undergraduate degrees available from Chamberlain College of Nursing's online school: the Associate Level of Nursing degree is also offered at the Columbus, OH and St. Louis, MO campuses. The online version of the degree requires the student's participation for six semesters. Comprised of 72 credit hours, this degree program teaches the student the fundamentals of nursing. The program focuses on patient care theories and practices as well.
Chamberlain College of Nursing also offers an undergraduate degree that is solely available online. The college's Fast Track Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Online Degree Completion Program is hailed for its quick completion rate. The student can finish this degree in as little as three semesters, depending on how much previous experience and education he or she has. The online courses are coupled with clinical training to provide the student with both theoretical and practical learning. Students with work experience as a nurse can earn credit hours from their experience. The program is offered in eight week sessions.
Since the Fast Track RN to BSN undergraduate degree listed above is essentially a degree completion program, interested students should have previous nursing experience and education before applying for the programs offered by Chamberlain College of Nursing. The Associate Level of Nursing degree does not require previous experience, as it is a longer program that serves as a complete degree instead of a degree completion program.
