The Concord Law School is available completely online and has been since its inception in 1998. The main office is located in California. The school has been approved by the California Bar association as a correspondence school of law. It is accredited by the Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council.

There are two paths to choose from at Concord Law School. The Juris doctor program which is designed for students who wish to practice law in some capacity. This program’s objectives are to develop students’ abilities, skills and perspectives in legal fundamentals, professional and practical skills and critical thinking. It also will develop the skills required to assess clients’ cases, legal research, how to develop a strategy to resolve legal issues, fully represent clients and ethic and moral duties as lawyers.

The Executive JD is for students who wish an education in law but not intend to practice law. The purpose of this degree program is develop certain skills such as analytical thinking, intellectual acumen, self-discipline and effective communication skills. It provides the training required for a thorough understanding of the profession of law. The Executive JD graduates are able to advance their current profession or seek out other opportunities that require legal expertise

Concord Law School is the first of its kind. It is the first law school that is using traditional classroom techniques in a distance learning setting. Students have the flexibility to work their class schedule around their work and family schedules. Students can attend video lecture or professor led chat rooms, read case law online or off. They can meet with fellow students in discussion groups. All course work is completed and submitted online. Even with the extensive use of distance learning students are receiving a high quality legal degree.

The school gives the students a complete breakdown of all expenses. The admissions counselor will assist the students with paying and financing their education. There is in house financing available and alternative educational loan programs that will also assist. They do accept scholarship funds as well. There is also tuition assistance available through The Educational Resources Institute.
