The accredited distance learning program from the brick and mortar Liberty University campus offers a wide variety of online degree programs and blended degree programs. Liberty University has a Christian university structure with degree programs for non-traditional students interested in furthering their education and/or career while working full time.
There are two distinct categories of degree programs at Liberty University's virtual campus. The first, online degree programs, are presented completely online. No campus experience is necessary, so students need not go to the university itself. The second category, blended degree programs, combines online classes with required campus experience.
For the online degree offerings, there are fifteen programs currently listed: the Master of Science in Management, and Master of Business Administration degrees both offer ethical educations in business. The Master of Arts in Human Services, and Master of Science in Nursing are both geared towards students in human services and health care fields. There are several therapy-based degree programs: the Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, the Master of Arts in Professional Counseling, the Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling are all good examples of this. There are several Christianity-based master's programs, including the Master of Arts in Religion, Master of Arts in Christian Leadership, Master in Divinity, and the Master of Arts in Evangelism and Church Growth. Finally, there are three education-related degree programs: the Master of Education, the Education Specialist degree, and the Doctor of Education degree.
As for the blended degree programs that require student participation on campus, there are ten of these programs: MA in Human Services, MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, MA in Professional Counseling, Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling, MS in Nursing, MA in Religion, MA in Christian Leadership, MA in Evangelism and Church Growth, Master of Divinity, and the Doctor of Ministry. All of these programs except the Doctor of Ministry are also available as online degrees.
