Mountain State University is located in Beckley, West Virginia. This school has long had a reputation for excellence. It was originally and still is a non profit higher learning institution since 1933. Despite hard times as a result of the Depression in the 1930's and other challenges, this university has gone from junior college status to a 4 year institution that offers challenging classes in various graduate programs.
In order to keep up the demand for distance and online learning, the faculty and administrators began numerous programs to assist the non traditional student. Both on campus and students who never step foot on the school's property are gaining beneficial classes and degrees from Mountain State University at their own pace and from the comfort of home.
