As the second-largest private, non-profit university in California, National University has been an accredited institution since 1977 and has also been recognized by Diverse Issues in Higher Education for its achievement in helping minority students receive Master's degrees. Locations can be found throughout Southern and Northern California, as well as in Nevada and Hawaii. Over 100 traditional degrees are offered, including teaching certification programs, and students can also benefit from National University's online education program, which offers hundreds of courses within many different degree programs and departments including the Schools of Business and Management, Education, Engineering and Technology, Health and Human Services, Media and Communication, the College of Letters and Sciences and the Language Institute.
National University devotes itself to making quality education accessible to each of its students, and through programs like independent study, the writing center, math online tutor help, career services and others, students can develop their skills and future goals outside of the classroom as well.
