The Art Institute of Pittsburg was founded in 1921. It was founded during a time of creative business boom. The school graduated commercial artists (today they are graphic artists) who were developing billboards and magazine ads and vying for the buying public’s attention. In the year 2000 the Art Institute launched its online school offering fourteen creative academic programs. Aside from this there are thirty-two physical campus locations in North America.
The Art Institute Online and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh provide diverse artistic and business programs. They are accredited by Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. They offer diploma programs, associates and bachelor’s degrees. They cover business management, hotel and restaurant management, culinary arts, graphic arts, fashion and retail management, interior design, interactive media design, media arts and animation, game art and design. If it is art related students can find the courses and programs that they need, including web design and multimedia presentations.
Students can take advantage of traditional day or evening classes at physical locations. They can combine distance (online) learning with traditional classes or solely complete their degrees at their pace through distance learning. A degree from the Art Institute Online or Pittsburg and its physical campuses is highly regarded in the world of creative employment.
There is a diverse amount of financial aid available to traditional and working adult students. There is traditional federal loan, grant and work study money available. There are scholarships and tuition assistance programs directly through the school. They accept private alternative education loans.
