Established in 1888 to serve the Tiffin, Ohio area, the university has grown by leaps and bounds and is now a nationally accredited university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. It has also gone beyond traditional classroom style to offering a variety of online courses as well. Tiffin University has been accredited The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The campus blends both its historic and modern architecture. There are courses offered at satellite campuses in Columbus, Fremont, Toledo and Lima, Ohio. There are some sites located in the Greater Cleveland area.
Tiffin University offers a wide variety of degree programs through its schools: The School of Arts and Sciences, The School of Business and The School of Criminal Justice. There is also a graduate school and an online school. The School of Arts and Sciences offers an associate in arts degree which is used to prepare a well rounded student for a professional degree later on. Bachelor’s degrees in Arts Administration, Communication, English, English Education, History, History Education and Law and Society are also offered under the School of Arts and Sciences. The School of Business offers associates degrees through Master’s degree in business administration. They also offer an MBA through their online school.
The School of Criminal Justice Degree with majors in law enforcement, corrections, homeland security and terrorism, forensic psychology and forensic Science, the school also offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, human services, government and national security. Most students go on to master degree or law school The graduate school offers three master’s programs: Master of Business Administration, Master of Humanities and Master of Science in Criminal Justice.
Financial Aid at Tiffin University is available via federal student loans, grants and work-study. They also offer their own scholarships.
