Westwood College began in 1953 as the Denver Institute of Technology. The school offers a variety of technical degrees and diplomas. It has since grown to offer degrees in business, design, IT, industrial services and healthcare. The school has also expanded to now host seventeen campuses between the east and west coasts.
The college offers all of its degrees through its standard classrooms at its physical campuses or through their online learning programs.Students may also do a combination of online and standard classroom classes. The advantages to the taking online courses is that students can work in their chosen field at the same time and gain valuable hands on experience while getting a top notch education.
Students are offered a combination of audio and visual materials for learn as well as actual text books for their online students, so that they may step away from the computer for a bit. This prevents eye strain and burn out in students. The also offer free tutoring in all subjects and provide assistance after graduation with getting employment and continuing education free of charge. They have continuing enrollment. This means that students can start in their program right away and not have to wait for the beginning of the next semester.
Westwood College on line is a fully accredited private college. Students can take advantage of traditional financial aid through Stafford, Perkins, PLUS and other federal funding options, as well as grants such as the PELL Grant. There are alternative private funding options as well. They will work with your employer to get tuition reimbursement there as well. The primary concern of Westwood College is that its students have every opportunity to learn and advance in their chosen field.
